I like to try get teams that dont have warriors in them, find it works much better to take another monk instead of a warrior, on paper a warrior looks like a much better damage absorber, but most of them arent using superior absorbtion and superior vigour and have faulted sets of armour, so your left with a dud player that runs around doing 0dmg with his sword and abusing everyone when he doesnt get drops.

Haha, I get one green drop every trip to the Furnace with my monk + 7 henchies. =)
Usually outside the furnace, on my way there. I kill a boss who's in my way and hey, look, it's a green.

For all my shunned brethren
Anytime you want to form a group, in any situation, announce this:
"Forming group of unwanted builds, outcasts and underdogs - invite your self."
I guarantee you will have more fun using this approach than with any "cookie-cutter" PuG.
I have had nothing but great experiences using this method and on the rare occasion something goes wrong, everybody still has fun & usually sticks around to try again.

They need to make it so that all of us Mesmers, Rangers and Necros who are stuck grouping with Henchies, can actually get green drops when we are grouped with henchmen.
Some sort of equation that looks at how many times you say LFG, how many groups kick you because you won't play a Minion Master since you only have Blood weapons and runes, how long you sat in town looking to join a group, how many districts you switched to and tried more, and then decide to give you at least 1 or 2 green drops when you completely clear SF and GF instead of the nothing you always get from the last 7 times you did this.
Bosses killed with henchies in SF/GF: greater than 50...
Greens dropped with henchies: 2...
The only times I have gotten other greens was before everyone decided the only Necro allowed in SF should be a minion master.

A blood necro is not that bad. One with well of power, blood, and blood ritual can substitute for one monk in the group.

I'm sorry, but I have to take issue with Warlocks statement. Are you really saying that +9hp and -1dmg are going to make that much of a difference as a warrior? I don't think so. Majors do just fine for tanking. Sure, a superior absorption would be nice, but 170k for an extra -1 damage and 9hp is a little ridiculous.
However, his point is still a good one, you really only need one tank. Tanks aren't supposed to do any damae, if you can find a good one, he will take most of the aggro, and if you're REALLY good, you will lure the other aggro over to him.

<--I play self smite warrior tank. I aggro, and tank, but at the same time I helpa bit with the damage.
I buff my armor alot (WY! Dolyak Signet) and use bonettis for some nice evades. I also bring in distracting blow to help with distracting shots. All my other skills consist of some pretty nice smiting skills.

The developers have no power in being able to sway players opinions in what classes players want for farming.
That is...unless they decide to quadruple ranger damage, make barrage +40 per arrow, and change their armor to rival that of warriors. Oh! And did I forget to mention that they should be granted innate evade skill-just because they are rangers?
Each class plays their role, and rangers do not fit into the one you want. Making them able to fit into more just because you think they should is a prime example of a...
Classes have their rolls... they all don't need to be members of the same.

Quit whining about not getting into a farming group because you're either a Ranger or Mesmer!!!
I'm trying to do the SF quests with my Ele - Nuker (did everything first go round with my monk) and can't get ANY group?!?! Every populated dist it's the same spam " Forming 5 man farming group LF Monks, Tank, Ele" / "Green farming group forming". I'd like to just be able to do the freaking quests but I can't even do that!!!!
...and don't even suggest henchies....yeah they are an option but I'd prefer the minor interactions of real people and the skills sets we know they'll bring that henchies don't - i.e. meteor shower, minions, well of power, interupts etc.

Form an all ranger group. We did Ring of Fire that way - rangers are deadly in groups. 5 Rangers should be able to farm so long as they are smart about it.

Take your own advice. A ranger and mesmers job to a team is to distract the enemies, to make them less effective. NOT MAJOR DAMAGE. Quit feeling that every class should be able to dish out like an elementalist, and stop asking for what you think your class needs. Common sense does not include raking each classes damage significantly just because you want the ability to fit in with a massive damage farming group.

I concur. If you see a group of people who don't want rangers because they dont do a lot of damage, either 1) they are nooooooobs or 2) they are 7/8 and dont have a nuker yet and really want one (been there). Damage output != usefulness.
